Rashid Nakhle

Rashid Nakhle (Arabic: رشید نخلة; 6 February 1863 - 1 January 1939) was a Lebanese poet, writer, and journalist known for his contributions to Arabic literature and the vernacular poetry of zajal.[1]

Poetry

His poetry was collected in a book after his death entitled “The Meaning of Rashid Nakhle” under the supervision of his son, the poet Amine Nakhle, which was printed in 1945 in Beirut, and his poetry was published in many newspapers and magazines, including: The Lightning, The Exposition and The Uncovered. He additionally wrote a book entitled "Diwan of the Heavenly Poet", composed of 18,000 stanzas of zajal poetry.[2]
