Rasna (actress)

Rasna (born Fatimath Rasna) is an Indian film actress. She has mostly acted in Malayalam, Kannada and Tamil serials.[1][2] [3]

Early life

Rasna was born on 8 January 1994 in a Malayali Muslim family. Her father, Abdul Nassar was a mechanic in Muscat and her mother Sajida was a housewife. She also has a younger sister, Mersheena Neenu, who is also an actress.

Career

TV career

Rasna made her first debut in small roles when she was in 6th grade. Later, she made her acting debut in Shaju Sreedhar's music albums. Since, then she played several roles. However, in 2008 she became popular when she played as the role of twins, Seema and Aruna in the Malayalam serial Parijaatham. She also starred as twins Arundhathi and Aarthi in the Tamil remake of the Malayalam series Parijatham. The same also was applied in the Kannada serial. She was in 12th grade, while playing these roles.

Later, she acted in serials like, Sindhooracheppu, Velankanni Mathavu, Vrindavan, Vadhu, and Nandanam.

Awards

In 2011 Rasna received, an Asianet television award for the best television actress for her role in Parijatham. [4]
