Rattan Lal Mittal

Rattan Lal Mittal is an Orthopaedic Surgeon from Punjab, India, who treats club deformities.[1] He is a former Professor and Head of Orthopaedic Department at Government Medical College, Patiala.[2] In 2021 he has been honoured with the Padma Shri (the 4th highest civilian awards) by the Union Government on the 72nd Republic Day for his contribution towards the medical sector.[3] He performs rare clubfoot surgeries at free of cost. In September of the same year, he successfully performed an orthopedic corrective surgery for S-shaped foot deformity on a 10-year-old kid after which he was given the Padma Shri by the Government of India.[4][5]
