Ren Sato (佐藤 蓮, Satō Ren, born 5 August 2001) is a Japanese racing driver and 2019 Japanese F4 champion.

Career

Japanese F4

In 2018 Sato made his single seater debut with Honda Formula Dream Project in the Japanese F4 series He finished with 58 points and 7th in the championship. In the following season Sato dominated with 11 out of 14 wins and finishing on the podium in all but one race. This earned him a one-off race in the French F4 race at Circuit de Nevers Magny-Cours. Sato won the championship by 164 points.

Sato, along with Ayumu Iwasa, was sent to the French F4 by Honda; Sato's best finish was 11th. Sato will compete full-time in the 2020 season.[1]
