Roxi Copland

Roxi Copland (/ˈkoʊplənd/, KOHP-lənd;[1]) is an American singer-songwriter and pianist based in Austin.[2] She has toured extensively in the United States and released four studio albums, three singles and one live album.[3] In 2011, a writer for Seattle's Crosscut.com described her and her music as follows, "Roxi Copland is a petite powerhouse. Even when hidden behind a Baby Grand, her presence is huge thanks to a voluptuous voice and fierce piano skills."[4]

Early life

Copland grew up in Aberdeen, Washington, where she began studying music at the age of four.[19] Upon graduation from Aberdeen High School in 2001, she moved to Grinnell, Iowa to attend Grinnell College.[20] Copland began her professional career in Des Moines, Iowa, where she was based from 2005 to 2011.[21] After spending a year in Vancouver, Canada,[22] Copland moved to Milwaukee in 2012[23] and Austin in 2018.[24]
