Rupununi River

The Rupununi River is a tributary of the Essequibo River, in an area de facto administered by Guyana but also claimed by Venezuela as part of Guayana Esequiba. It borders the Rupununi savannah grassland region. More than half of Guyana's territory belongs to the rivers's drainage basin.[1]
