Sa Re Ga Ma Pa 2021

The channel started taking auditions for the 30th season from 15th July 2021 through "Missed Call Based Link Providing Method" and invites young aspiring singers to take part on the show. The auditions gets closed on 15th August, 2021.[3][4]

The channel approaches Himesh Reshammiya, Vishal Dadlani and Shankar Mahadevan as the judging panel for its 30th season.[5] Speaking to judging the show Reshammiya stated in an interview that “Well, it’s been a great experience judging Sa Re Ga Ma Pa, I have been a part of various seasons but this time I’m looking forward to meeting some great, young talent to launch them successfully. I feel the biggest attraction of judging a reality show is getting to hear a fresh pool of raw talent. In fact, it gives me a chance to reinvent each time keeping their point of views in mind which also connects with music lovers across the globe. I hope the audience is as excited as I am to welcome us with another fresh season of this show. I once again look forward to witnessing and launching a new talent with this platform, and sincerely urge all the aspiring singers to take the plunge and get themselves registered, because you never know, you might be the next Sa Re Ga Ma Pa winner!”.

Vishal also stated that “I started my tryst with reality TV with Sa Re Ga Ma Pa. So, it always feels like I am coming back home. This show has a long history of turning amateur musicians into popular and successful professionals, and I think that's a legacy that everyone wants to be part of. It is a household name and a show that was already beloved even before I became a musician. The reason I'm a part of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa is because of the opportunity to hear new voices and help them mould into capable and confident young ambassadors of music. I feel it's always a revelation to see the very best talent from across the country and this season is all set to get bigger and better. My only ask to the talent across India is to show some confidence and drop that missed call, so that we can bring you to the stage of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa (laughs)".[6]

As being the part of the show Shankar said to Mid-Day that "Sa Re Ga Ma Pa has been a global platform for singing talent across the universe and I am very excited to be a part of this show. It was the first show where I had come as a mentor and returning again this year as the judge only gives me immense pleasure and excitement. As music composers, we are always looking out for new talent and are in search of fresh voices to feature as a part of our songs and our films. In my career, I have used at least 30 singers from reality shows to sing for films and they have become immensely successful. So, I believe that meeting new talent is the biggest opportunity for a composer and it’s a great feeling to be able to enjoy and groom them further. My only advice to all the young musicians would be to create your own niche in singing while using aspects from the maestros because I will be looking for a person who is not only a singer but also a contributor to the song."

Adding to this, Shankar said to Mid-Day that “I have judged this show with Himesh in the year 2009 and after more than a decade, we are coming back together to judge this show. He is always full of energy and gets completely involved in the show, so I think it’s going to be amazing working with him. Vishal is a dear buddy and co-musician and while we have sung for each other on many occasions, this would be the first time that we are coming together as judges in a reality show. He has a great sense of humour and I am really looking forward to sharing many funny and musical moments with him.”[7]

The channel first announces Aditya Narayan as the host of the upcoming season and Aditya Narayan also confirmed that news[8] but later on some media reports claiming that Narayan is quitting his hosting career and he wants to work for Grammy Awards,[9] however there's no official confirmation about quitting this season comes yet from Zee TV. On 18th September, the channel releases its official trailer on YouTube and confirmed officially that Narayan will host the show.[10]

Talking about the show, Narayan says, "Sa Re Ga Ma Pa is like a homecoming for me. It’s a show that I have been associated with for a really long time and the stage is just like home to me. I have hosted nearly seven seasons of this show, right from 2007 to 2018. When I was just about 18 years old, my first ever job in the television Industry was with Sa Re Ga Ma Pa."[11]
