Sara Gill

Sara Gill is a Pakistani physician and transgender activist.

Gill was educated at the Pakistan Air Force School. She then was enrolled at Jinnah Medical and Dental College, Karachi and is predicted to graduate as the first transgender female doctor in Pakistan.[1] She was selected by the US State Department for the IVLP Fellowship Program.[2] During her medical degree she decided to declare her gender identity (Gill is transgender), for which she was abandoned by her family.[1] She was part of an NGO called Gender Interactive Alliance (GIA) along with others including current president Bindiya Rana.[3] This organisation advocates for equality and civil rights for transgender people in Pakistan.[4]
