Sat-B

Bizimana Aboubakar Karume (born 7 December 1989), better known by his stage name SAT-B, is one of the most successful Burundian recording artists and performers.[1] He is a singer, songwriter, dancer, and performer. Sat-B was born and raised in Bujumbura City, Burundi. Sat-B is also the CEO of Empire Avenue, a music management label.[1]

History

Karume started doing local hip hop in the musical group Wanavesi Kikosi, in his Kanyosha neighbourhood located in Bujumbura City before launching a solo career in 2009. He made his big break in 2010 with his single Inkuru y'Ukuri, and has since become one of the biggest Burundian stars in R&B and hip hop. Some of his most popular works include Satura Amabafle, Too Much, Feel Love and No Love, which have became very popular in clubs. He has been nominated in the Continental Awards, won various local awards, has been a brand ambassador to various multinational brands, as well as collaborated with different artists in the local region which includes: Yoya, Big Fizzo, Kidum, Sauti Sol, and Meddy among others. He has previously been toured at Rwanda and Uganda in 2016 for his Iwacu Album Launch with performances in Kigali and Kampala. In 2021, Sat-B became the official ambassador of Burundi Waragi, a local distillery.
