Shubhra Mohanty
Shubhra Mohanty (born April 18, 1984) is an Entrepreneur, Professional Speaker, Transformation Partner, Corporate Consultant and Reformist of Indian descent.[1] She is known for her movement against Gender inequality popularized by the hashtag #eachvoicecounts. She is the founder of Women and Convention, which aims to train and equip women with the skills required to reign supreme in the corporate or entrepreneurial arena and bridge the gender gap. Through the medium of Women and Convention, Shubhra urges all the women in the world to keep their options open and embrace every opportunity that comes along their way. This organization also helps equip women with necessary skills to advance in the corporate hierarchy and combat any abnormalities that occur in their jobs. They hold workshops, training, and one-on-one interactions to assist women with necessary skills to gain the confidence they need to succeed in the workplace. Mohanty is a transformation partner, who has been inspiring and transforming lives through her positive philosophy backed by logical reasoning and science.[2][3]

Early life
Mohanty was born in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, India. Her father was a Senior Official with the Government of India. Her mother was her greatest inspiration. She graduated from Utkal University being awarded a BA with majors in Sociology and Economics in 2005. She attended the KIIT University to get an MBA in Marketing and Human Resources in 2007.
Career
Mohanty began her career in 2007 at the Future Group, the Indian retail conglomerate headquartered in Mumbai, Maharashtra, where she worked on multifarious assignments across Category Management and Marketing which had an efficacious business impact on the Company’s food business. In 2012, she joined the leading Indian media conglomerate the ABP Group as a Brand Strategist, where she worked on the brand strategy of the Classifieds business for The Telegraph (India), Anandabazar Patrika and Ebela. In 2013 Mohanty[4] attended the 65th World Newspaper Congress, 23rd World Advertising Forum - Wan Ifra Convention in Bangkok, Thailand, before she made a lateral move to join the ABP Group company’s digital business. Mohanty played a pivotal role in the research and launch of the company’s digital product working closely with BCG, Nielsen Corporation and Deloitte. Post motherhood, she experienced 'new parent' stigmas, misogyny and anti feminist prejudices in the corporate world. This was the time Mohanty decided to take charge and turn around things for herself and also contribute towards the greater good. She started the movement against gender inequality that became the popular hashtag #eachvoicecounts. She founded Women and Convention in 2018 that aims to train and equip women with all the skills required to reign supreme in the corporate or entrepreneurial arena.[5] Women & Convention is dedicated to the cause of bridging the gender gap and laying the foundation of an equal world for all genders.[6][7]
Personal Life
Mohanty met her husband, Tahmeed Siddique, in 2007 at KIIT University. They married in 2014. Together, they have a daughter.
