Sikelelwa Vuyeleni

Sikelelwa Vuyeleni (born 26 August 1998), is a South African actress and model. She is best known for the roles in the television serials Hope, Vula Vala and House of Zwide.[1]

Personal life

Vuyeleni was born on 26 August 1998 in the small village of Mtsheko in Cacadu near Komani, Eastern Cape, South Africa. She studied at the Eersterivier Secondary School in Cape Town. Then she attended the Cape Peninsula University of Technology, and graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Film & Video.[2]

Career

In 2014 when she was in Grade 11, she made her acting debut with the e.tv police drama Traffic!, where she played the recurring role of "street kid Zen". In 2017, she joined with the second season of the Mzansi Magic drama serial Isikizi, and played the supporting role of "Lelethu". In 2018, she made her first lead role with the Moja Love telenovela Hope by playing the role as "Thando".[2] In 2020, she joined with the role "Owami Kwena" in the Mzansi Magic serial Vula Vala produced by Black Brain Pictures productions.[3][4] In 2021, she joined with the cast of e.tv soap opera House of Zwide. In the same year, she made the film debut with Pusha Pressa Phanda directed by Dick d'vLz Reubïn. In the film, she played the supportive role of "Sibo".[1]

Apart from acting, she also worked as a model at LoiuseB Models.[5]
