A J Line station with an identical name is located approximately 2.1 miles (3.4 km) west of the station.[2] Passengers may use the westbound Metro Local line 108 and get off at Slauson Avenue and Broadway Avenue to travel between the two.
History

The Slauson station was built on the site of a major junction of the Pacific Electric Railway's Southern Division, where the Whittier, Fullerton, and La Habra lines split off from the Watts, Long Beach, San Pedro, and Balboa lines. This was called Slauson Junction.
Under current plans, the station will also be served by the proposed light rail West Santa Ana Branch Transit Corridor,[3] one of the Twenty-eight by '28 projects Metro aims to have online by the 2028 Summer Olympics.[4]
