Société Générale de Banque au Liban (SGBL)
Societe Generale de Banque au Liban S.A.L. (SGBL, Arabic: بنك سوسيتيه جنرال في لبنان), founded in 1953, is a Lebanese bank. It is a subsidiary of Sehnaoui Group[1] in Lebanon, and offers banking services in Lebanon, Jordan, Cyprus, UAE and Europe.[2]
Antoun Sehnaoui is its Chairman and CEO.[3]
The bank offers banking services to individuals or companies,[4] concentrated around 4 main lines: Retail Banking; Corporate Banking; Investment Banking and Private Banking.[5]
Allegations
A report by a local newspaper alleged that Société Générale (France) has exited SGBL because it considers it a bank that has many issues with management and other related stuff. SGBL said that Société Générale (France) is still one of its shareholders.[6][7][8]
