Solomartel

Solomartel is an online real estate investment fund. The company provides publicly available real estate investments which are organized in funds. The funds are investment products in which private and institutional investors can invest and thus own participating stakes in. These participation stakes will give the fund participants ownership over the actual real estate owned by the fund. Participants will then be receiving cashflow returns derived from the income produced by the real estate assets in a similar manner to Real estate investment trusts.[1]

In December 2021, the company announced the future implementation of cryptocurrency payments on its online platform which will allow cryptocurrency holders to invest in real estate without doing any conversions.[2]

Investments

In February 2021, Solomartel completed their first fund in India investing in residential and commercial real estate in the cities of Chennai, Bengaluru, Pune, Surat and Jaipur.[3]Many reputable companies and well known private investors have invested in real estate through Solomartel. Some of these well known investors include the Public Investment Fund,[4][5] the Royal family of Qatar,[6] Berkshire Hathaway[7] and OCBC Bank.[8][9][10]

History

At the beginning of the 21st century, Solomartel was a midsize company providing investment opportunities only to a few select companies and high net worth individuals alone, the company then expanded to reach the size it currently has due to the appearance of the internet and the consequent digitalization of our world and the financial services industry.[11][12]
