Speed sign

A speed sign is a special traffic light, variable traffic sign or variable-message sign giving drivers a recommended speed to approach the next traffic light in its green phase[1] and thereby avoid a stop due to reaching the intersection when the light is red.[2] Speed signs are not to be confused with speed limit signs.
