Stephen (TV series)

Stephen is a 2021 British limited TV series based on the true story of the 1993 murder of Black British teenager Stephen Lawrence, his family's fight for justice, and the police investigation which finally led to the convictions of two of his killers in 2012. It is the sequel to the 1999 TV film The Murder of Stephen Lawrence. The series features Steve Coogan in the main role as DCI Clive Driscoll,[1][2][3] whose book In Pursuit of the Truth the drama is based on.[4] It also stars Sharlene Whyte as Doreen Lawrence and Hugh Quarshie as Neville Lawrence, Stephen's parents. The drama was written by Frank Cottrell-Boyce and Joe Cottrell-Boyce and directed by Alrick Riley.
