Steve Pilot

Steve Pilot (born October 9, 1980) is a German model, author,[1] fitness trainer,[2] and vegan nutritionist[3][4]  who is based in Bangkok, Thailand. As a model he has appeared on Muscle and Fitness magazine,[5] Center Stage Magazine[6][7] and Men’s Health.[8] He has been featured in several magazines such as Phanganist,[9] Bangkok101,[10] Yoga Magazine[11] and World Vegan Magazine.[12]

Early life and education

Pilot was born on October 9, 1980 in Munich, Germany.[13]  He earned a bachelor’s degree in engineering in 2000.[13] Pilot served for two years in the German Special Forces as a paratrooper before returning to school to study for a Master’s in Automotive Engineering.[13] Pilot was inspired to adopt a vegan diet after a traveling around the world eating meatless meals and watching the documentary film Earthlings.[2] He eventually earned a degree in sports science and became a certified nutritionist.[1]

Career

Initially pursuing a career in engineering, Pilot eventually moved to Bangkok, Thailand to start Steve Pilot Fitness, a personal training business.[10][1][14] In Thailand, Pilot eventually became one of the Phuket-based gym Unit 27’s sponsored athletes.[15]As a model, Pilot has appeared on the cover of Muscle and Fitness magazine,[5][13][16] and Center Stage Magazine in 2015 and 2021.[6][7] He has also appeared in Men’s Health.[13][8] He has also modeled for brands such as Sunnex Jeans[17] and appeared in music videos such as “Don’t Say Yes” by Bankk Cash and “Cursed” by Lunatic.[13] Pilot is an ambassador for brands such as Sun Warrior,[18] Finn & Gunnar,[19] and Reebok.[1][16]

Pilot’s fitness tips have been featured in publications such as the South China Morning Post, YouHeal.net, and Eat This, Not That!.[20][21][22] His nutrition tips have also been in publications such as Phanganist and Bangkok101.[9][10] He has also had feature articles written about him in Yoga Magazine and World Vegan Magazine.[12]

Pilot has worked with Thai based celebrities such as Araya A. Hargate, Shannon Wiratchai, and Lydia Sarunrat Deane.[13]
