Current focus

Tappin continues to work with top CEOs, leading political figures and cultural icons worldwide. After co-authoring The Awareness Code with Wayne Linton, Tappin's aim is to work with key leaders and companies from all nations to bring to life the teachings of The Awareness Code in order to create an extraordinary world.

The Awareness Code

In 2021, Tappin has co-authored with Wayne Linton a new book called The Awareness Code. The book was released by Bloomsbury on 28 October 2021. The book clarifies the full range of human awareness and how you can develop the highest possible potential for any individual or collective basis, as well as unfolding the most empowered state for an incredible leader.[1]

Leaders around the world have increasingly called the book ‘the periodic table for humanity’ and it has been internationally acclaimed to be a “profound” and “tectonic plates moving” leadership book.[2] A number of endorsements have been received from CEOs, aspiring political leaders, sporting and cultural icons which can be found below:

“This book is a profound one for humanity. We have the periodic table for the elements and now with this book, we have the Periodic table for human awareness. The depth is both astounding yet simple. It will for sure become a global bestseller and it has incredible lessons which will hold true for many generations to come."[3] Anthony Scaramucci; former member of the White House senior staff and founder of SkyBridge Capital.[4]

"It can redefine sport on all levels - from across the academies, women's teams, first teams, countries and to the governance of the sport. I can’t even imagine what a soccer team would be like powered only by higher awareness on the pitch and in its communities."[5] Gianfranco Zola; Italian and Chelsea football legend.[6]

"This is tectonic plates moving stuff. This is an exciting book to help everyone raise their awareness and every community to build closer and more trusting relationships at local and national level. As we emerge from the pandemic, the Awareness Code has the power to rebuild social connection and help us all rediscover our driving purpose in life. This book should have pride of place in every boardroom and living room.”[7] Dame Sharon White, Chairman of the John Lewis Partnership, former Chief Executive of OFcom and Second Permanent Secretary at HM Treasury.[8]

Tappin and Linton have also created an ‘Awareness Code’ application for both iOS and Android. The application is a practical solution for leadership development in real-time, which will potentially see leaders raise their awareness and empower them in any situation. It is an evaluation tool for leaders and their respective fellowships. The application also gives insight into Meditations from co-founder Wayne Linton.

Early career

Tappin began his career with the chemical giant ICI, on a fast track management scheme. ICI's fortunes turned around under the leadership of Sir John Harvey-Jones. After he left, Tappin was mentored by Sir John Harvey-Jones.[9]

In 2000, Tappin created a global growth and corporate venturing consulting firm, Edengene. During this time, Edengene helped British Telecom set up BT Broadband. Under Tappin's leadership, Edengene was awarded "Best Small Business" and "Gold Medal Award for Client Work" from the Management Consultancies Association.

During his mid-20's, Tappin realized his highest calling was to help CEOs transform their companies as a way to change the world. During the next three decades, he dedicated his life to meeting, being the confidant of, and training the top global CEOs.

In his late 20s and early 30s he worked as a consultant and managing partner in KPMG, PA Consulting and Heidrick and Struggles. It was here he noticed these global professional services firms faced similar challenges to the major corporations they advised. This motivated Tappin to create Xinfu - a professional services firm.[10]
