Each week, two contestants star in a television show.[2] They come into the studio when their friends yell "Surprise!" and throw ribbons and streamers. First, a short video is shown with host Julie or Mr. Gross in the contestants' houses asking their parents which foods they hate/love in the episode where Julie and Mr. Gross Face off against each other. Alex snoops through the dressing room and looks around the studio to find the food they like and hate. Then the contestants face the first challenge, which involves racing around the game studio in search of different kinds of foods on a list; they will need to guess if they are the correct foods or not. Then Julie announces the "Obstacle" and the two must stop what they are doing and face a challenge that involves eating the foods that they hate.

In season 2, they would do a challenge that upon completion, they get to pick an item for their list. Afterward, they must go back in search of the foods that they were looking for earlier. Then another obstacle happens where a physical challenge happens the first person back who hit the button would be checked by Mr. Gross if they got the correct items. They are then faced with a cooking challenge in the "Cooking Ring", which involves making two recipes based on the foods that the contestants love to eat, and are allowed to choose two friends from the audience to help them. After Chef Alex Orlando rates their dishes, samples of their food are given to the "Taste Buds". In the end, the contestant with the most highly rated plates wins an "outdoor adventure" trip In The Episode Of Season 2 Where Julie And Mr. Gross face off against each other, otherwise known as 'ballsax' And Julie was the winner. Julie was given the option of either one of the two trips or taking the mystery prize. Julie chose the mystery prize which was an invitation to Chef Alex's dressing room for a 75-course feast, where the dishes were dishes that the contestant made in the past episode. Both players are given a gift just for participating in the show.
