Talât Tekin
Mehmet Talât Tekin (July 16, 1927, Tavşancıl, Dilovası - November 28, 2015, Bodrum), Turkish linguist, Turkologist, researcher and writer who made important contributions to Turkish literature.

Under his supervision, doctoral studies were prepared both in the field of Turkish language and Turkish linguistics. Besides the students he directly trained, he became the teacher of all Turcology students with his articles and books, and with "A Grammar of Orkhon Turkic" he became the most well-known and widely read Turkish linguist outside Turkey.[1]
