Levin has published two books:

  • The first People In Glass Houses, is an investigation of Hillsong, the international Pentecostal church that Tanya was raised in. This book is an exposé of the Hillsong Church,[3][4][5][6] was short-listed for the 2007 Walkley Non-fiction Book Award.[7]
  • The second book, Crimwife, is about relationships with criminals.

Arrest

On 1 July 2015, Levin was arrested for trespass while being interviewed outside the 2015 Hillsong annual conference at Sydney Olympic Park.[8] The arrest came amid increased media scrutiny of the conference, after organisers misled the media about the involvement of Mark Driscoll.[9] According to Levin, she was originally convicted but on appeal "the findings were upheld, but the convictions were dismissed."[10]
