Taylor Noelle Watson (born April 6, 1993), known professionally as Tay Money, is an American rapper. She started her career in 2017, and gained fame after the release of her single "Trappers Delight" in June 2018. She then released her debut EP, DUH!. Her debut mixtape, Hurricane Tay was released in March 2019. In 2020, her single, "Bussin" became a viral sensation on the app TikTok[5] and reached #41 on the U.S. Viral 50 on February 9, 2020. In 2021 she signed a record deal with Geffen Records and Interscope Records.

Career

Tay Money made her debut with the single "Lewis & Clark" in 2017, she later released the single "Na Na".[6] Her breakthrough came with the 2018 single "Trapper's Delight" which was released on WorldStarHipHop's YouTube channel, The music video received over 1.2 million views in less than a month.[7] She released her debut EP, DUH!, on November of that year.[8]

In 2019, she released the singles "High School", "2k" , "Ride Around" and "IMAX".[9][10][11] In that same year, her debut mixtape, Hurricane Tay, was released with 16 tracks and two features from DaBaby and YNW Melly. In March 2020, Tay Money released her viral single "Bussin", Which has gained widespread attention in social media, especially on the video sharing platform TikTok.[12] In July 2020, Money released "Bussin"'s remix "Bussin 2.0" with rapper Saweetie.[13][14][15] On October 2, 2020, Tay Money released the music video for "Circus" Directed by DrewFilmedIt. Money released her mixtape, Blockedt, on December 11 of that year.[16] It features Saweetie on the remix "Bussin 2.0" and Mulatto on "Brat" which was released on October.[17][18]

In 2021, she signed a record deal with Geffen Records and Interscope Records. Her debut studio album is scheduled to be released later this year.

Personal life

Tay Money was born in Tyler, TX. Tay Money was raised in Athens, TX,and was a hair stylist, and eventually moved to Dallas, TX.

Tay Money was in a relationship with videographer Cole Bennett.[20][21] The relationship ended in mid 2021 when Bennett was accused of cheating on Tay with the popular Instagram influencer “Stassiebaby”. Tay confirmed these allegations on her Instagram.
