Thallumaala

Thallumaala (transl. Chain of fights) is an upcoming Malayalam action-comedy film directed by Khalid Rahman.[1] Written by Muhsin Parari and Ashraf Hamza, It is produced by Ashiq Usman. The film stars Tovino Thomas, Kalyani Priyadarshan and Sharaf U Dheen in lead roles.[2] The principal photography started on 2021 October 12 and it expected to release by 2022.[3]

In 2019 October, Thallumaala was announced as the second directorial of Muhsin Parari, with Aashiq Abu and Rima Kallingal as the producers.[4] Tovino Thomas and Soubin Shahir were also announced as the lead actors at that time. Later, in February 2020, Muhsin Parari announced that he would do the script part only, and Khalid Rahman would be the film director. And Ashiq Usman replaced Aashiq Abu and Rima Kallingal as the producer.[5] Soubin Shahir also dropped from the film and Sharaf U Dheen came as the replacement.[6] And Ashraf Hamza joined the film as a co-writer.

One year later, in 2021 February, it has been reported that Kalyani Priyadarshan is cast as the heroine of the film.[7] In 2021 October 12, principal cinematography of the film commenced with a pooja function.[3]
