Reception
On review aggregator website Rotten Tomatoes, the film has a 60% approval rating based on five reviews, with an average ranking of 5.4/10.[4]
Ale Turdó of Quelle Movies said "The Bellmen's comedy riff and deadpan humor follows the beat of its own drum. It might not be everybody's cup of tea, but it sure benefits from a troupe of charming characters and the absurdity of its plot".[5]
Journal & Courier's Bob Bloom wrote that "Early in the film, we are told that the life of a bellman is all about doing a great job to earn big tips. Well, here's one: next time you want to produce a comedy, make sure it's funny before you let anyone see it".[6]
Tom Meek of Cambridge Day wrote "[the film] is trite, innocuous fun".[7]
According to Bobby LePire of Film Threat, "The film is overflowing with jokes, both visual and verbal, and the results prove to be a riot. Sit back and enjoy the laugh-a-minute ride".[8]
