The Unknown Woman is a 1959 Egyptian thriller directed by Mahmoud Zulfikar. The films features an ensemble cast including Shadia, Emad Hamdy, Shoukry Sarhan, Kamal El-Shennawi and Zahrat El-Ola.[1][2][3]

Plot
Fatma (Shadia) marries Dr. Ahmed (Emad Hamdy) and they have Samir (Shoukry Sarhan). She goes to visit her friend Souad (Zahrat El-Ola), the police attack the place because it is suspicious and arrest everyone, including Fatma, release her and Ahmed divorces her. Fatma is forced to work as a singer. The thug Abbas (Kamal El-Shenawi) asks Fatma for a sum of money (lottery) in order to protect her. Fatma refuses and tries to kill her, but Souad ransoms her and dies. Her son Samir becomes a famous lawyer. Abbas gets out of prison and threatens Fatma in order to blackmail her family, who kills him. Then Ahmed is surprised by what she has reached and regrets what he did to her. Her son Samir defends her and his father reveals her truth to him in public in court.
