Theodhor Peci
Theodhor Peci (born on 19 June 1984, Korça) is an Albanian researcher of Byzantine Music, cantor, composer and director-teacher of the Archdiocese School of Byzantine Music in Tirana, Albania, of Orthodox Church of Albania.

Life
Theodhor Peci was born on June 19, 1984, in the city of Korça (Albania). In 1994, his parents enrolled him in the Art School "Tefta Tashko Koço" of Korça, where he specialized in guitar. He graduated high school in 2002. He participated as a singer in several concerts, festivals, and activities organized in Korça, in other cities of Albania, and abroad, where he received many awards.
In the year 2000, on Holy Thursday of Holy Week, he was assigned as a Protopsalti (First/head Cantor) of the cathedral church of Korça, "The Resurrection of Christ". In the years 2002-2006, he studied at the "Resurrection of Christ", Theological Academy, in Shen Vlash of Durres, Albania, where he was honored with the degree: "Excellent". In 2004, he became a member of the Albanian Byzantine choir of chanters "St. John Koukouzelis", under the direction of Father Justin Anthimiadhi, where he participated in many concerts and music recordings.
He continued his theological studies in Athens, where in 2011 he graduated from the Faculty of Theology of the Kapodistrian University of Athens, with the grade "Very Good". In addition to theological studies, he also studied Byzantine music with th Dr. Gregorious Anastasiou and Lykourgos Angelopoulos. In 2007, he received the "Diploma of Byzantine Music" from the School of Byzantine Music of the Metropolis of Halkida “Ιερεύς Παύλος ο Σκοπελίτης”. In 2009, he received the "Graduate cantor Diploma" at the Athens Conservatory, and in 2011, he received the "Diploma of Byzantine Music Teacher" from the Athens Conservatory. In 2020, he completed his postgraduate studies in Byzantine Musicology and Hymnology at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
He became a member of the Byzantine choir "Masters of Psaltic Art" under the direction of Professor Archileas Haldeakis, participating in many concerts inside and outside Greece, and in many recordings. At the same time, he was a regular member of the choir of cantors "Ilisiotes Cantors" (Ιλισιώτες Ψάλτες), under the direction of Gregorious Anastasiou, participating, as a soloist, in many musical activities and recordings.
Works

In 2011, after completing his studies in Athens, he moved to Tirana, where he took over the direction of the Byzantine Choir of the Archdiocese of Tirana "St. John Koukouzelis". He was a teacher of European Music in the Albanian-American school of the Autocephalous Orthodox Church of Albania "Protagonists". In 2012 he was assigned as director and teacher of Byzantine music at the first School of Byzantine Music of the Autocephalous Orthodox Church of Albania.
Peci's musical work is related to the teaching of Psaltic Art, the conducting of the "St. John Kukuzelis" Byzantine Choir , the translation of liturgical texts, the adaptation and composition of liturgical hymns, publications of studies character, the publication of music books and showing the musical richness of Psaltic Art through the chanting of the sacred services and in various activities.
His most important musical work is the first complete adaptation and composition in Albanian of the musical book Anastasimatari[1] (Anastasimatarion), which was published by the Orthodox Church of Albania. In addition to the Anastasimatari,[2][3] he also published the book: Liturgjia Hyjnore[4][5] (The Divine Liturgy) in two volumes and its author of many articles of a scientific nature.
