Tobi Oyinlola

Oluwatobi Oyinlola (born 1992 in Ibadan) is a Nigerian-born Inventor and Entrepreneur. He is best known for his work with rLoop incorporated - Company sharing the dream of realizing the fifth mode of transportation Hyperloop initiated by Elon Musk[1][2]

Tobi began his secondary education at Bishop Phillips Academy, Monatan, Ibadan. In 2009, he gained admission to the Tai Solarin University of Education where he earned his bachelor's degree in Telecommunication.[3] In 2018, he became a World Bank scholar as a research scientist in Internet of Things.

In 2019, he was selected by the Government of France as an exceptionally talented technical expert to develop smart city solutions, during the program, he invented "YOBL", a small device that fights social media addition and "Colimo" Dialogue between citizens and cities.[4][5][6]

Tobi is pioneering a smart meter that would allow 'pay-as-you-go' cooking. This will enable customers to bypass the upfront cost of connecting to a gas utility and pay only for what is used.[7][8]

He developed the world’s first solar-powered workstation equipped with IoT technology.[9] In 2018, he was named as one of the Most Influential Young Nigerians alongside Davido[10]
