History before spilting from a bus department of Tobu Railway

A history of Tobu Bus is inspired by establishing Mobu Motor[11][12] which was an affiliated company of Tobu Railway in Gunma and Saitama in 1933 and a bus department of Tobu Railway in Kawagoe on 1 April 1934. In September 1936, the two bus companies were amalgamated into Tobu Motor[13] and the bus company got service areas of Saitama, Gunma, Ibaraki, Tochigi from affiliated company.

After the World War Ⅱ, the bus company and Nikko Kido was taken over by Tobu Railway. But, the bus company ran a deficit around 1980 because passengers decreased in 80%. the Tobu Railway decided to spilt into affiliated company in September 2001 because it was difficult to continue operating route, expressway and sightseeing buses.[14] The offices and bus routes that Tobu Bus has not been transferred are transferred to Asahi Motor Group since around 1990.
