Tony Lawrence (singer)
Tony Lawrence is an American singer originally from St. Kitts.
As a child, he moved with his family to Virginia, and later New York City.[1] He became known as "The Continental Dreamboat".[2] Lawrence appeared in Paris in 1964.[3] In 1965, he had a successful nationwide tour on behalf of the "Teen 'N Tea Caravan", sponsored by the Tea Council of the U.S.A.[4] In 1967 and 1968, Lawrence helped organize the Harlem Cultural Festival;[1][5] in 1969 he was its director.[6]
