Two Seasons
Two Seasons is an online and physical retailer of skateboard, surf and snow sports shops in the UK, selling clothing and equipment for the related sports. The company is independently owed by the original founder Stuart Roberts and two other investors.
History
Two Seasons was set up in 1983 by Stuart Roberts. The first store was on the Wellingborough Road in Northampton, England. Since 1983 another 23 stores have been opened throughout the UK. The UK retail market has shown great results for Two Seasons compared to the previous corresponding period.[1]
In 2008 Two Seasons was bought by Billabong Clothing as their multi-brand retail chain.[2][3] Two Seasons joins many other Surf, Skate & Snowboard brands under the Billabong clothing company, including Element Skateboards, Von Zipper, DaKine, Kustom Footwear, Xcel wetsuits, Nixon Watches & Sector 9 skateboards.
In 2019 Two Seasons parent company GSM Retail UK Ltd was acquired by the Board Riders group, better known as the owners of Quiksilver, Roxy and DC shoes brands.
In August 2020 Board Riders put the parent company of Two Seasons into administration after the COVID lockdown forced all retail stores to close. The original founder of Two Seasons, Stuart Roberts, along with 2 other investors bought the brand back and set up a new company called 2S Seasons Holdings. [4]
Initially, Two Seasons started only trading online, but on Oct 17th reopened the first store in Nottingham. [5]
