Usama Maud (Shaheed)
Usama Maud was a member of Civil Service of Pakistan and was martyred during active service in Lahore, Pakistan. Usama Maud started his career as Assistant Commissioner in Punjab Government and belonged to the 2nd common batch of DMG group.[1] He was the Assistant Commissioner of Rajanpur in 1980[1] and was Additional District Magistrate / Additional Deputy Commissioner of the Rawalpindi district. He enjoyed the reputation of a very hardline honest official. During the internal insurgency in Pakistan Peoples Party Government, he was serving as Provincial Secretary in Punjab government, Lahore.
He was ambushed and killed on his way back home from office on his official vehicle.[2] on 26th February, 1997. A public road has been named after him outside civil secretariat Lahore, Pakistan.
