Career/artistry

After her senior high school education, Valerie on a trip to the United States of America for holidays came in contact with a MAC Cosmetics store where the in-house artistes displayed skill and business acumen. The trip with her Aunt inspired her to learn more.

In 2014, she landed her first commercial job with wax print manufacturer, Printex and went on to kickstart her bridal makeup career with a model on the set. Her brand grew on photo-sharing app, Instagram via tags and referrals by several wedding blogs and clients.

She's gone on to work with the Ghanaian fashion brands Pistis Ghana, Christie Brown,[11] Mina Evans,[12] Charlotte Prive, Nadrey Laurent, Sarah Christian and the Hat Box Company on several fashion campaigns and editorials.

In 2016 Valerie collaborated with fashion house Pistis Ghana and Let's Be Seated Limited to create a bridal campaign for Christian and Muslim brides that was positively received by the wedding industry including an honorary mention by celebrity wedding planner, David Tutera.[13][1][14][15]

The campaign has become an annual project and has been released each year since the first release. The project is produced and directed by Valerie Lawson[16][17]
