Victoria Marie Calvert
Victoria Marie Calvert (born 1981)[1] is an American lawyer from Georgia who is a nominee to be a United States District Judge of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia.

Education
Calvert earned a Bachelor of Arts from Duke University in 2003 and a Juris Doctor from the New York University School of Law in 2006.[2]
Career
From 2006 to 2012, Calvert was an associate at King & Spalding in Atlanta. Since 2012, she has been a staff attorney in the federal defender program in Atlanta.[2]
Nomination to district court
On September 30, 2021, President Joe Biden nominated Calvert to serve as a United States District Judge of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia. President Biden nominated Calvert to the seat vacated by Judge Thomas W. Thrash Jr., who took senior status on May 8, 2021.[3] Her nomination is pending before the Senate Judiciary Committee. On December 1, 2021, a hearing on her nomination was held before the Senate Judiciary Committee.[4] If confirmed, she would be the second Black woman judge on the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia.[5]
