W. H. Elliott

The Reverend Canon W, H. Elliott was a Church of England clergyman and Precentor of the Chapels Royal. He was also a broadcaster on religious matters for the BBC, known as "the Radio Chaplain", and [1] vicar of St Michaels church, Chester Square, in London's Belgravia district.

Not to be confused with William Henry Elliott.

He appeared as a castaway on the BBC Radio programme Desert Island Discs on 26 March 1942.[2] Elliott persuaded Plomley to let him write his own script which Plomley regretted as the script turned out to be a kind of sermon.[3]
