Wrestle is a 2018 American sport documentary film written and directed by Suzannah Herbert and Lauren Belfer and starring Teague Berres, Jaquan Rhodes, Jamario Rowe, Chris Scribner and Jailen Young.

Plot
In Huntsville, Alabama, four students of J. O. Johnson High School are trying to win Alabama's state wrestling championship in order to remove the school from a list of failing schools.
Reception
On review aggregator website Rotten Tomatoes, the film has an approval rating of 100% based on 17 critics, with an average rating of 8/10.[1] On Metacritic, Wrestle holds a rank of 82 out of a 100 based on 8 critics, indicating a "universal acclaim".[2]
Kenneth Turan of the Los Angeles Times wrote "One reason Wrestle is so effective is that director Herbert and cinematographer Sinisa Kukic made the decision to move to Huntsville for the duration of the shoot".[3]
Writing for Variety Dennis Harvey commented "This engrossing snapshot has a good shot at exposure beyond the festival circuit, with public television being a logical destination".[4]
According to Chuck Bowen of Slant Magazine, "Wrestle shines a piercing light on the sorts of people that our governments would too often rather forget".[5]
John DeFore of The Hollywood Reporter felt that the film "reminds us [that] there are more than a couple of sports offering pathways to a college degree".[6]
The film was chosen as NYT Critic's Pick by Jeannette Catsoulis of The New York Times.[7]
