Yair Mintzker
Yair Mintzker (born 1975, Jerusalem, Israel) is an Israeli-American historian. Mintzker is professor of history at Princeton University.
Early life and education
Mintzker was born and raised in Jerusalem, and attended The Israel Arts and Science Academy (IASA). He received his M.A. in history from Tel-Aviv University (2003) and his Ph.D. from Stanford University (2009), where he studied under James J. Sheehan. His Ph.D. at Stanford was titled "The defortification of the German city, 1689–1866".[1] Mintzker is best known for his work on Joseph Süß Oppenheimer and for developing the historiographical technique of Polyphonic history.
