"Your Love Is Killing Me" is a song recorded by American singer-songwriter Sharon Van Etten. The song is the third track from her 2014 album Are We There, released on May 14, 2014. Written by Van Etten, the song was co-produced by Grammy-Award winning American record producer Stewart Lerman. The recording features collaboration from multiple musicians including Dave Hartley.[1]

Reception

Reviewing the track for Pitchfork, Jayson Greene wrote, "[Her] singing is in this song is so tremendously powerful it trembles at the edge of intelligibility." The song also received a Pitchfork's "Best New Track" designation.[2] Reviewing for Nashville Scene Stephen Trageser found the song similar to Natalie Prass's song "Violently." He wrote, "It's similar, very similar, to the pre-chorus from "Violently."[3]

Music video

A music video for the song was released on YouTube on October 28, 2014. The video was directed by Canadian film director Sean Durkin.[4] The music video was described as "stunning"[5] and "heartbreaking."[6] Swiss actress Carla Juri starred in the video.[7]
