Álvaro Pacheco
Álvaro Adriano Teixeira Pacheco (born 25 June 1971) is a Portuguese professional football manager and former player who is the current head coach of the Primeira Liga club Vizela.

Playing career
Pacheco is a product of the football academies of his local club Lixa and Felgueiras, and worked as a locksmith with his father as a teenager. He began playing football professionally with Felgueiras. He played 70 games in the Liga Portugal 2, and spent most of his career in semi-pro leagues in Portugal. He started thinking about becoming a manager in 2005 with Paredes, and retired from football in 2007 at the age of 34.[1]
Coaching career
Pacheco began his coaching career with Lixa in 2011. He followed that with stints as the assistant manager for Miguel Leal in Penafiel, Moreirense, and Boavista. He returned to coaching with Fafe for the 2019-20 season. In 2019, he was appointed the manager of Vizela in the Segunda Divisão and helped them get promoted to the Liga Portugal 2.[2] In the 2020–21 season, he helped Vizela get promoted into the Primeira Liga for the first time in 37 years, guiding the team to a second place finish.[3]
