Ça me fait rêver

"Ça me fait rêver" is a song by French singer Dalida featuring French singer Bruno Guillain. It's a megamix of Dalida's previous hits, remixed in disco style, including a new piece written by Jeff Barnel that permeates throughout the song. First released on album in June 1978, it followed in the footsteps of her previous megamix "Génération 78" achieving success in France and internationally.[1][2]

"Ça me fait rêver" is Dalida's second megamix, but twice as longer, after "Génération 78" from April of the same year. For the second time achieving success, Dalida paved her way as the uttermost pioneer in the field, as "Génération 78" and "Ça me fait rêver" were one of the first megamixes, and one of the first commercially successful remixes in history.

Description

Having already established herself as a disco singer and achieving success with “Génération 78”, Dalida decided to definitely continue in a similar direction. Bruno Guillain did his role very well last time, so he was used for this song as well. It will be his last collaboration with Dalida in the studio.

"Ça me fait rêver" was first released on a 30 cm LP record alongside just two more songs; already issued "Génération 78" and a completely new "Voilà pourquoi je chante", due to the big length of all three songs. Despite the success, this megamix by Dalida remained her last one.
