1982 Urakawa earthquake

The 1982 Urakawa earthquake (Japanese: 浦河沖地震[1]) is the 7.1 Mj earthquake that occurred in off the coast of Urakawa, Japan on 11:32 (JST), March 21, 1982.[2][3][4] The epicenter was 42.1°N 142.6°E / 42.1; 142.6.[5] The earthquake was the largest earthquake in the history of the region. The earthquake caused casualties and damage in Tomakomai and Sapporo.[6] The earthquake left 167 people injured.[7]
