2021 Baltic Sea incident

On 13 December 2021, one person was killed in an incident in the Baltic Sea off the coast of Sweden.[1][2] Two vessels collided and one was capsized.[3] Two people have been detained.[4]

Events

The Danish cargo ship MV Karin Hoej (1977) collided with the British Scot Carrier and capsized in the Baltic Sea between Ystad, Sweden and Bornholm, Denmark. Two of her crew were reported missing.[5][6]

Investigation

The Swedish Coast Guard is investigating the incident.[7]
