2021 Summer Deaflympics

The 2021 Summer Deaflympics, officially known as the 24th Summer Deaflympics, is an international multi-sport event scheduled to take place in Caxias do Sul, Brazil from May 1 to May 15, 2022.

Caxis do Sul was selected as the host city for the 2021 games a meeting of the International Committee of Sports for the Deaf on February 26, 2020. Originally scheduled to take place from December 5 to 21, 2021, the games were postponed to 2022 in January 2021 as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, the first such instance in the history of the Deaflympics (previous games had been cancelled but not rescheduled).[1][2]
