2022 Oregon state elections

A general election will be held in the U.S. state of Oregon on November 8, 2022. Primary elections will be held on May 17, 2022.

Federal

United States Senate

Incumbent Democratic Senator Ron Wyden has announced his intention to run for a fifth term. Wyden was first elected in a 1996 special election and reelected in 1998, 2004, 2010, and 2016.[1]

Six other candidates, including Republican Jo Rae Perkins, have announced their intention to run.

United States House of Representatives

All five of Oregon's seats in the United States House of Representatives will be up for re-election in 2022. These seats are currently represented by four Democrats and one Republican.

Governor

Incumbent Democratic Governor Kate Brown took office on February 18, 2015 upon the resignation of John Kitzhaber.[2] She was subsequently elected in the gubernatorial special election in 2016[3] and was re-elected to a full term in 2018.[4] She is term-limited and cannot seek re-election to a second full term until 2026.[5]

Many candidates have announced their intention to run, including Bud Pierce, a physician and candidate for this office in 2016, Tina Kotek, speaker of the Oregon House of Representatives and Paul Romero, a businessman and candidate for United States Senate in 2020.

Labor Commissioner

Incumbent Val Hoyle has announced her intention to run for a second term.[6] Since the Commissioner of Labor is a nonpartisan role, a general election is only held in the event that no one in the primary election secures 50% of the vote.[7]

So far, no other candidates have announced their intention to run.

Legislature

All 60 seats in the Oregon House of Representatives will be up for election in 2022.

15 of 30 Oregon State Senate seats will be up for election.
