2024 Indonesian general election
General elections are scheduled to be held in Indonesia no longer than April 2024[1][2][3][4] to elect the President, Vice President, People's Consultative Assembly (MPR), and members of local legislative bodies.[5]

Electoral system
Presidential
In order to run as a presidential candidate, a candidate must be backed by a political party or a coalition thereof which compose either 20 percent of seats in the People's Representative Council (DPR) or 25 percent of popular votes in the prior election, i.e. in the 2019 election.[6]
Legislative
According to the 2017 electoral law, the People's Representative Council will have a parliamentary threshold of 4 percent.[7] An electoral law making the threshold 5% is underway.[8]
