Baal Veer is an Indian fantasy television series.[1] It premiered on 8 October 2012 on SAB TV, and stars Dev Joshi in the titular lead role.[2] It is produced by Optimystix Entertainment with screenplay by Rohit Malhotra.[3][4]

The show aired for 1111 episodes and went off air on 4 November 2016.[5][6] The show is being aired on Sony SAB's sister channel, Sony PAL since 2015 at 6 pm IST.[7] Baalveer Returns, a sequel, starring Dev Joshi again, this time along with Vansh Sayani, premiered on 10 September 2019 continuing the story with a 3-year leap with major changes in the positive-based characters.[8]

The series was ranked 7 in the list of the world's top searched TV shows by Google in 2019.

Plot

Prologue

(Note : This was fully revealed in the sequel Baalveer Returns. So, please don't mark the prologue as reverted edit.)

The story revolves around a boy, Baalveer.

In 2000 AD , he was born to Jaikaz a scientist of Pari Lok's sister planet Veer Lok. However, Jaikaz being an evil plotter traps Baalveer's twin brother in a magical conical egg to make him super-powerful and manages to escape from Veer Lok through a plane, but the mentor of the planet attacks him. However, Jaikaz dies in the attack, but the conical egg falls in an ocean and Baalveer falls in an Indian desert. A childless couple discover him and adopt him. However, Bhayankar Pari tries to capture the child but Rani Pari comes at the right moment and saves him. Rani Pari gets unconscious due to Bhayankar Pari's attack, but a maid in that house takes Baal Veer with him leaving Bhayankar Pari furious. The woman carrying BaalVeer faces an accident, but Baal Pari saves her. This draws the attention of people towards the woman causing her to leave BaalVeer at the spot after being suspected. Baal Pari gets shocked after seeing this and carries the child to Pari Lok. Some fairies get disappointed from her but Rani Pari recognizes him and names him BaalVeer as he is Baal-Pari's child. Thus, Baal Pari becomes the mother of BaalVeer , the first human to have resided in the Fairy Realm.

•Current Time•

Bhayankar Pari hypnotyses the children of Earth and makes them do evil deeds. Pari Lok is in a state of alarm due to the havoc on the Earth. Rani Pari placates the fairies, while Bhayankar Pari enters Pari Lok creating an environment of terror. Rani Pari summons Baal Pari and discusses with her how they saved Baalveer and hid the truth of his birth from him and other fairies to ensure that Baal Veer doesn't start hating Shaurya, the mentor of Veer Lok who killed BaalVeer's father with right motive but, through sinful way. Rani Pari tells Baal Pari that the time has come that Baalveer should be given powers to defeat the evil, the motive for which he was born. Baal Pari agrees for the activity, but doubts if her son, BaalVeer would be able to defeat the evil or not. Rani Pari ensures her that Baal Veer was a special child and blesses her with an ability to call Baal Veer anytime, just by calling his name. In a prestigious ceremony, Baal Veer is blessed with the powers of seven fairies.


Gaal Pari (Cheek Fairy), Vijhdar Pari (Electric Fairy), Baal Pari (Tress Fairy), Atkaati Pari (Obstacle Fairy), Aarpar Pari (Across Fairy), Bhatkati Pari (Diverting Fairy), Natkhat Pari (Naughty Fairy) and Rani Pari (Queen Fairy). They give magical powers to Baal Veer to help them fight an evil fairy Bhayankar Pari (Frightening Fairy), who wants to become the queen of Pari Lok (Fairy Realm). Years ago, Maa Pari (Mother Fairy, the creator of Pari Lok) gave Pari Lok's (Fairy Realm's) throne to Bahuroopi Pari (Disguise Fairy) instead of Bhayankar Pari, who, at that time was Bhali Pari (Good Fairy), so she returns to take revenge from Maa Pari and Rani Pari. Baal Veer is sent to Earth to help children and save the Earth from Bhayankar Pari and the wrath of other cunning and cruel, evil fairies. Baal Veer stays with the Dagli family on Earth as Ballu. The family has seven members who never lie, even at the time of difficult circumstances, including Manav and Meher. They too receive powers from Rani Pari and were made Baal Mitra and Baal Sakhi respectively, to help Baal Veer in his quests and adventures to fight evil powers and restore peace and righteousness everywhere. The series ends showing peace and righteousness everywhere with Queen Fairy asking BaalVeer to spread righteousness in the whole universe.

(The plot continues in the show's sequel Baalveer Returns taking a 3-year leap with major changes in the positive-based characters. E.g., Passing of the throne of Fairy Realm (Pari Lok) from Queen Fairy ( Rani Pari) to Tress Fairy (Baal Pari) without any screenplays.)

  • Sudeepa Singh as New Rani Pari. She becomes the new queen of Pari Lok after the previous Rani Pari gets killed by Bhayankar Pari. (2014–2016)
