Ashraful Hoq Chowdhury
Ashraful Hoq Chowdhury ndu, afwc, psc, BN is a Rear Admiral of Bangladesh Navy and the incumbent Director General of Bangladesh Coast Guard. [1] Prior to this appointment, he was the DG of the Khulna Naval Area.[2]

Military career
Chowdhury joined Bangladesh Navy in the executive branch on 1 January, 1988. Ashraful Hoq Chowdhury successfully completed missile command and tactics course, and strategic studies course in China, gunnery specialisation course in Pakistan, armed forces war course in National Defence College in Bangladesh and combined forces maritime component commander flag officer course in United State Pacific Fleet headquarters. He is the Senate member of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Maritime University, Bangladesh.[3] During his tenure at Bangladesh Coast Guard, BCG had received four 20 metres long rescue boats with oil pollution control equipment supplied by Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).[4]

Ashraful Hoq Chowdhury is married to Muslima Chowdhury.[5]
