Bahamas Aquatic Federation (BAF) is the governing body for the development, promotion and charged with advancing its control of swimming, synchronized swimming, diving, water polo, open water swimming and masters swimming within the Commonwealth of The Bahamas.[1] BAF is a member of the International Swimming Organization FINA and Central American and Caribbean Swimming Federation.[2]

Facilities

The country currently consists of several swimming facilities namely four 25-Metre and two 25-Yard Outdoor completion pools residing in Nassau these pools remain property of various Educational Institutions. In May 2000 the Government of Bahamas constructed the Betty Kelly Keening National Swim Complex. The state now owns a 10 Lane 50 Meter Outdoor swimming pool accompanied by 8 -Lane 25 Meter Training pool.[3][4]
