Baker Boys (Thai: รักของผม ขนมของคุณ; RTGS: Rak Khong Phom, Khanom Khong Khun, lit. My Love, Your Desserts) is a 2021 Thai romantic comedy-drama television series starring Thanat Lowkhunsombat (Lee), Prachaya Ruangroj (Singto), Purim Rattanaruangwattana (Pluem) and Patara Eksangkul (Foei). Adapted from the manga series Antique Bakery by Fumi Yoshinaga, it tells the stories of four bakers who go through different challenges in life while on the baking industry. It's also the Thai version of the Japanese and South Korean franchises.[1]

Directed by Pannares Ruchiranantal (Poy) and produced by GMMTV, this series is one of sixteen television series of GMMTV for 2021 during their "GMMTV 2021: The New Decade Begins" event on 3 December 2020.[2][3] It is currently airing every Wednesday and Thursday at 20:30 (8:30 pm) on GMM25, and the streaming app AIS PLAY at 22:30 (10:30 pm), replacing the timeslot of Nabi, My Stepdarling Rerun on GMM25.[4]

Synopsis

Weir (Singto Prachaya) is a young, attractive baker who is always vying for the attention of bakery customers and proprietors. When he loses his job again due to his charisma, he applies to work at Sweet Day, a new opulent pastry store managed by Punn (Lee Thanat), the troubled son of a wealthy businessman. Punn has a history that prevents him from eating sweets. He simply starts a bakery to be surrounded by female clients. Punn recruits Weir straight away after viewing his profile. But there's one major issue: Weir is terrified of women! Punn unwillingly enlists the assistance of Krathing (Pluem Purim), a previously rising boxing star who is now retired owing to a physical ailment.

Punn despises annoyances like Krathing, yet he has little choice but to give in since Krathing's keen sense of sweetness is just what Weir requires. While Sweet Day begins to draw more customers, the shop's image suffers as a result of reports of a child's kidnapping. The kidnapper's sole proof appears to be a Sweet Day wrapper. Monet (Juthapich Indrajundra), a well-known internet journalist, snoops about the business, believing the kidnapper is present. Pooh (Patara Eksangkul) is Punn's scary-looking but shy bodyguard who is there to keep watch and look after his young master. Monet finds a suspect wearing black sunglasses lurking in front of the shop, but he turns out to be Pooh (Patara Eksangkul), Punn's scary-looking but shy bodyguard who is there to keep watch and look after his young master.

Punn thereafter has no choice but to hire Pooh as his waiter in order to avoid any further misunderstandings. That marks the start of their hectic baking store management and case-solving endeavor. They'll have to deal with a variety of issues along the way, both work-related and personal. What will become of their tumultuous relationship? Keep an eye on them and cheer them on.

On a rooftop, Weir confesses his feelings to Punn and he rejected him by smashing a birthday cake onto his face. Three years later, Punn and his girlfriend broke up in a date night, and it is also revealed that he don't like sweets, especially cakes. On the other side, Weir make out with a boy which he spilled with a beverage. After that night, Punn consulted the owner of a bake shop where he is with since he's young with an interest to buy the whole area to be converted into a dessert shop, where he and his mother shown interest to. Weir applies a job to be a pastry chef at his shop; Punn immediately recognized the rooftop incident and became reluctant. He, however accepted his application. At that night, Weir admitted that he is gay and might be a problem to Punn's business; however, Punn dismissed that thought since it is "no problem" to him. Meanwhile, Krathing was advised to refrain from boxing as he was diagnosed with cerebral aneurysm via a CT scan.

Weir eventually admitted one more thing to Punn about himself: he doesn't like working with women. Punn, confused at first, eventually accepted this. On the other hand, a child was kidnapped by an unknown person after luring her with a cake. The only evidence that was got from the CCTV in the area was - this individual was wearing a red hat. On the next day, Krathing applies to Punn's cafe for baking; he was tutored by Weir. A woman- which is later revealed as Monet, captured a teacher harassing a young male student and posts it in a Facebook page by her mother, Roci who is a reporter. Monet further digs into the abduction case, which in one occasion, a person was following behind her. While Punn is walking outside in the night, another individual was seen staring at him; this is eventually be revealed as Pooh. Monet, along with her parents went to Sweet Day Cafe; their assumptions were eventually confirmed. The only left in the incident scene was the kid and a wrapper from the cafe. Due to Krathing exposing this without him knowing that they already know what happened, Monet further told them about the incident. A misunderstanding happened at that night; Monet and Krathing falsely accused Pooh as the murderer of the child. The former issued an apology to Pooh later. In the final scene, the kidnapper was revealed; his face was not shown, however.
