The traditional leader and guardian of the Western tradition is the Fo'o (King) of Bamendjou.
The area land is more than 260 square kilometres.
Bamendjou is a small town where tradition is the first education to any youngster. Bamendjou shares its border with Baham, Bahouan, Batié, Bansoa, Bayangam, Bameka, and Bandjoun.
