Bolt, West Virginia
Bolt is a census-designated place (CDP) in Raleigh and Wyoming counties in the U.S. state of West Virginia. Bolt is located on West Virginia Route 99, 12 miles (19 km) west of Beckley. Bolt has a post office with ZIP code 25817.[4] As of the 2010 census, its population is 548.[2]

History
A post office called Bolt has been in operation since 1902.[5] One Mr. George Washington Bolt, an early postmaster, gave the community his last name.[6]
Notable person
Little Jimmy Dickens, a country singer, was born at Bolt in 1920.[7]
